
Volodymyr, a
Ukrainian Canadian came to Canada with his parents and brother in 1948.
His father was a professor of Greek and Latin at the Lviw University,
Ukraine and his mother, the daughter of a land owner.
His brother is a retired plant pathologist.
Mr. Kudryk is
married to Chrystyna Nawrocky, a retired art teacher and an active artist.
They enjoy the benefits of two daughters, one son-in-law and a grandson.
Walter Kudryk
received his B.Sc Civil Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba
(1959) and a M.B.A. from University of Toronto (1959).
After a career
in finance and industry (1959 to 1965), Walter went into Management Consulting
in 1965 with Touche Ross as Senior Consultant, Functional Director and finally
Principal in 1967.
In 1967 Walter Kudryk
founded RMC Resources Management Consultants Ltd. as Managing Principal,
President and Director. During the
past 35 years Walter was the Project Director on more than 60 projects and staff
member on approximately 50 additional projects.
In addition to
his duties as Managing Principal, Mr. Kudryk continues his consulting practice
directing and participating in assignments in Canada and abroad for governments,
associations and the private sector. Broad areas of involvement include strategic planning and
policy assignments; organization and market studies; cost reduction/profit
improvement assignments; regional development studies; feasibility studies; and
implementation programs.
His
and RMC’s international work experience includes project in Albania, Armenia,
Bahamas, Barbados, Botswana, Canada, Dominica, Estonia, Georgia, Ghana, Guyana,
Hungary, Indonesia Kosovo, Lithuania, Malaysia, Poland, Slovenia, St. Lucia,
Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine and United States of America.
Mr. Kudryk acts
as a policy advisor to federal and provincial governments and native
organizations and is called upon to comment on Canada’s involvement in health
care restructuring on national and international conferences.
Walter Kudryk served as a founding Board member of the Bank of Alberta, a
Class A chartered bank of Canada and currently is the Honorary Consul for the
Republic of Georgia.
